Professional Vs. Amateur Real Estate Photography

Why use Professional Real Estate Photography in your listings?

It’s tempting to take advantage of the new photographer down the street that’s just getting started and charging only a quarter of what your professional real estate photographer charges. I cannot emphasize enough how much this gamble to save money can end up costing you in the end.

I recently received a call from a realtor that was desperate for my help. He hired an amateur to do the photos for a new listing and knew right away that it was a waste of money. The pictures did not capture the charm of the property and as a result, they had no showings and no interest in the online listing. So the property sat and you all know what happens the longer a property sits on the market. Your chances of selling it for top dollar decreases dramatically.

As a professional real estate photographer, I have the experience and the tools to make your listing look like it should be on the cover of a magazine. Your photograph is your first impression that you offer viewers of your property. If the first impression is not completely captivating, the potential buyer will move on to the next listing. The photography of your listing is the one area you should never skimp on. Do it right the first time and your listing will sell faster and for the most money possible.

Take a look at the pictures below. I’ve compared two images taken by an amateur, as well as two photos taken by Northern Virginia Real Estate Photography.
